Whenever I get a chance to see my brother, he greets me with something new and unique. This time it was a great blend of coffee 💕☕.

With days filled with reminders to social distance, societal unrest, and working from home, life can be quite hectic. I find that my coffee break is my time to reconnect with myself and reset.

Here are 4 ways to bring more joy into your world as you enjoy your coffee:

01 + 02 | Write Your Story or Update Your Gratitude Journal: If you have been writing your story, you can select a prompt to complete while enjoying your coffee (a great two for one)! If keeping track of the things that you are grateful for, is more your style, then set your timer (Pomodoro, hopefully) for a few minutes and record the things that you are thankful for. By week’s end, you should have several entries and likely something that you’re proud to review.

03 | Do Nothing: I honestly can’t say that I’m a do-nothing type of person, but I relish in learning how to become one. Sometimes, busy is my constant mode, but I believe there is great benefit in allowing our minds and bodies to just be still for moments at a time.

Over the past few months, I have listened to various offerings on the Calm app, and each time, it does wonders for my day. I’ve also recently tried out this website, which challenges you to do nothing for two whole minutes. I’m interested in knowing whether you can endure the challenge. Let me know in the comments section.

04 | Watch a YouTube Video: With the abundance of content on YouTube, there’s likely something that will catch your attention and hold it through your coffee break.

Earlier this week, I was searching around Youtube, while having my coffee, and came across Matt Steffanina’s channel. If you haven’t heard of Matt, check him out. He and his dancers won’t disappoint.
