This year has proven incredibly challenging on so many levels, and, on some days, it feels like this constant stream of doom and gloom has no end in sight. If you’re striving to be more joyful, you really have to make up your mind to work towards that end.
One thing that that helps me to keep a fresh perspective is having some words of wisdom to mediate on. If nothing more, these words remind me that better times are on the horizon…we just have to weather the storm.
This week I’d like to share a few of my favorite quotes:
- “This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” – Psalms 118:24
- “May your choices reflect your hopes, not your fears.” – Nelson Mandela
- “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11
- “It is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light.” – Aristotle Onassis
- “Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6
