I have been yearning for a creative outlet lately, and with Mother’s Day right around the corner, DIY beaded bracelets felt like the perfect project. Mom gets a personalized gift this year, and I get a chance to revive my long-lost creativity. It seems like a winning combination to me!
If you haven’t had the opportunity to make a beaded bracelet, don’t despair. The process is super easy, inexpensive (depending on your bead quality/taste), and stress relieving. I had so much fun; I decided to order more beads to craft some bracelets to keep on hand for gift-giving this year.
If you’re ready to get started, here’s what you need:
- Beads
- Bead cord (I like the stretchy type)
- Bead caps
- Toggle clasps
- Assembly materials are listed in the how-to instructions.
My process for bracelet making is oversimplified (and possibly omits some necessary steps), so you may find this set of instructions more useful in your process.
I would love to see your creations. Also, if you can share any ideas for sourcing unique beads, I would appreciate it. Happy creating!
